Shadowrun Adventure June 8, 1997

A very FATGOP reunion, part #1

   Back into the world of Shadowrun, headlong and
pell-mell the FATGOP crew went.
   Its the "original" FATGOP at that. After some 
months of separate solo work, the infamous group is called
together for a lunch meeting by their schizophrenic fixer,
Marty/Mickey. Its seems (to be simple, we'll call
him Marty) that Marty has come into some money, and
is about to retire. But he has found a nice rescue?
misson that needed a Shadowrun group such as FATGOP. 
It's determined its a rich guy, Fred Granger, (worth
75 million new-yen) needs to hire us. He doesn't even
go by the name "Mr. Johnson". Must be a newbie.
  Rabid contacts his ol'-time decker friend "Seeker" 
who had gone missing for sometime but now is in Iowa,
of all places. He tracks down info on Granger for us.
  We arrive at the gates to his mansion, and Otto immediately
identifies himself as "the tooth fairy". The guard
calls more security and assures Otto that "the tooth fairy"
is not on Mr. Grangers list of expected people.
Other of us yell that we are "FATGOP" and we are let through.
The security here appears to be a hired group, Black Dog.
Rabid spies a watcher-spirit guarding, in an astral-space check.
  We are asked to leave our weapons. Half of us don't and
they don't check us. odd. We are led to a study/parlor type
room. We wait 5 minutes and then Grunt gets impatient and starts
jawing with the remaining guard. Otto continues to demand donuts.
Rapid gets a hint that there is a one-way mirror looking in here.
  Fred Granger then arrives with a plate of donuts and a 
massive 8-foot,10-inch "minataur" (larger than troll) body guard.
We all sit, except Otto. Granger tells us his college-age son,
Boyd, has been missing for over a month. He got weird friends
and weird ideas in the recent past. About the only clue he could
give us was Boyd's dorm-room number and room-mates name. (Jimmy?)
This big "minataur" is named "Bollock" and part of the deal is 
that he works with us. We are uneasy about that, but accept it, we guess.
We are to get 105,000 new-yen for the job.
  Taylor and Grunt go home, the rest of the the FATGOP crew hit
Seattle University and go to Boyd's dorm room. Rabid and Sid
(he's back too) supposedly watch the yard and the vehicles, but
instead try to cruise for college chicks. Not very successful.
  Otto,Christian,Panther and Bollock go to Boyd's dorm room.
Roommate Jimmy is questioned in a somewhat gruff manner.
Boyd's journal is found. Turns out he was hanging with some
Billy person and his weird friends. They often met at
Colfee's bar. And his last journal entry has him off to 
Mernon's river. Otto parades himself as from "student affairs".
Kind of a stern germanic "student affairs" worker if you ask me.
  Bollock & all chase down the administration window where
phone records can be had. A well-time 100 new-yen bribe gets
Boyd's dorm-room phone records quickly and efficiently.
  So, Until next week then... when FATGOP check the bar
and the river...
